Reed diffusers consist of an uncomplicated blend of fragrance oils and a base solution that is poured into a glass bottle. To allow the scent to permeate, rattan reeds are typically inserted into the mixture to draw up the solution. As the solution evaporates, it releases aroma molecules into the surrounding air.

To increase the intensity of the scent, more reeds can be added to the mixture. If the diffuser is being used in a large room or you prefer a stronger scent, it is recommended to use 1-2 more reeds than the usual amount. However, it should be noted that a diffuser with a higher number of reeds will not last as long as one with fewer reeds.
